Did you know laskar pelangi? Well it
was awarded The Golden Butterfly award for the category best film in
international festival of film for children and young adult in Hamedan, Iran. And
at 2010 cut mini also get received awarded for best actress at Brussels
international Independent film festival. And the most recent is a Best film at
the Asia pasific film festival 2010.
As we know, movies omtivational
categories of children are rarely present. However laskar pelangi adding a new
color in the film industry. Laskar pelangi is based on the chilhood experience
of writer Andrea Hirata, directed by Riri Riza. This film tell about the poor
childrens who have high motivation to get education. The story is set in 1970’s
on Belitong island. Starting from Muhammadyah school which has become the place
of these childrens. All childrens have the caracteristic. Laskar pelangi
consist of 10 students. Problem faced by these children can give us a lesson,
that many people with limited can achieve the dream.
Laskar pelangi is known as a movie
that inspires viewers to achieve their goals, and take a different theme with
almost of the film that are trend among the people. Aven so, it is evident that
laskar pelangi ticket sales reced ahead of other film. The film can give us
some moral lesson, and gives some new color that can make us fell sad, happy,
laugh and touch. However laskar pelangi is not perfect at all. The story in the
novel and in film is not complete and there are some different scenes in film
from the novel.
Despite in flaws, this is great film
and the acto can act very well. This film is suitable seen by the children and
teens. The movie give some moral value that people in limited condition can
achieve their dreams. But some scenes of the movie is not suitable with the
novel. So people who have read the novel feel dissapointed.
